Lucknow, 08 September: National Nutrition Month 2026 will be launched from Varanasi on Wednesday (9 September). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in the programme and launch the Hamari Anganwadi, Hamari Zimmedari campaign. Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi will also be present on the occasion. This year's theme for National Nutrition Month is "Sahi Poshan, Desh Roshan." Under the campaign, emphasis will be placed on increasing awareness regarding nutrition, health, and care among pregnant and lactating women, children, adolescent girls, and their families.
The programme, to be held at the Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre, will be attended by Union Minister of State Savitri Thakur; Uttar Pradesh Minister Baby Rani Maurya; Labour and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal; Dr Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu'; Minister of State Pratibha Shukla; Minister of State Hans Raj Vishwakarma; Varanasi Mayor Ashok Tiwari; Poonam Maurya, Administrator of Zila Panchayat Varanasi; Member of the Legislative Council Rai Dharmendra Singh; and MLAs Saurabh Srivastava, Dr Neelkanth Tiwari, Dr Avadhesh Singh, Tribhuvan Ram, and Dr Sunil Patel.
