The political scenario in Uttarakhand regarding the 2027 Assembly elections is gradually becoming clearer. BJP National President Nitin Navin has indicated that the upcoming elections will be fought under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
In an interview with a leading Hindi news channel, he stated that the Dhami government has presented a strong model of development and good governance in the state. According to him, Chief Minister Dhami has lived up to public expectations by enhancing transparency in administration and ensuring the delivery of basic facilities to remote areas.
The BJP President also mentioned that Uttarakhand has witnessed rapid development in recent years. He acknowledged that every state faces its own challenges, but in terms of governance and improvement in the standard of living, the state has made positive progress under Dhami’s leadership.
Making an important political statement, he clearly said that the party will project Chief Minister Dhami as the face for the 2027 elections.
It is noteworthy that top party leadership has earlier also appreciated Dhami’s working style. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised his work during a visit to Dehradun. Similarly, during an event in Haldwani, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described him as a “formidable leader” and appreciated his leadership skills. Additionally, during a visit to Haridwar, Home Minister Amit Shah termed the state government’s policies as people-centric and expressed confidence in BJP achieving a hat-trick victory.
Overall, the continuous support from the party’s top leadership clearly indicates that BJP is moving forward with a strategy to contest the 2027 Uttarakhand elections under Dhami’s leadership.
