Madhya Pradesh: Burnt palm oil seized from namkeen factory

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): During an inspection Grave irregularity came to fore at Anjushree Namkeen Factory in Bapunagar in Ujjain on Sunday.

The team of officials found that sev was spread on the ground in unhygienic conditions. From preparations to packaging of the namkeen the factory operator was found grossly compromising health standards.

Not only this, there was no pest control in the room where the sev was being made. Ahead of the festivals, the team of Food Department inspected the Namkeen manufacturing units.

Samples of namkeen, palm oil, gram flour and flour were collected. Another unit- Ratlami Namkeen on Agar Road was also inspected. Samples of sev, chili powder and gram flour were collected. Samples have been sent to the state laboratory for examination.
