Mhow (Madhya Pradesh): Mhow-Indore suburban bus operators are charging passengers at their own whims as there is a total lack of control by the transport department or district administration on suburban bus services running between Indore-Pithampur-Manpur after the corona period.
Suburban bus operators have fixed their own fares without any approval of the transport department. A trip to Mhow from Pithampur and Mhow to Indore costs Rs 20 and Rs 40, respectively. When passengers protest against the high fares, the conductors misbehave with them.
Passeengers have complained many a time to the officials of the transport department, but the officers pay no attention to their plight. Passengers have demanded that action be taken against those who collect more than the fare and that they also get the fare receipts.
