Mumbai News: Caller Claiming To Be Ajmal Kasab's Brother Nabbed By Police

The caller identified as Piyush Shukla, had threatened to blow up the police headquarters.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police nabbed a man on Wednesday, who had made a threat call on Tuesday, claiming to be the brother of 26/11 Mumbai attacks convict Ajmal Kasab.

The caller identified as Piyush Shukla, had threatened to blow up the police headquarters.

Following the call, Mumbai police launched a probe and traced the caller to Mulund and was detained. Shukla claimed that he had made the call under the influence of alcohol due to personal issues.

The police said that around 1 am on Tuesday, the Mumbai police control room received a call from a mobile number. The caller started abusing the Mumbai police and said that he would blow up the police headquarters. He claimed to be the brother of “aatanki Kasab”, “Kasab ka bhai bol raha hoon,” he said and hung up.
