The Dark Mode settings on the Facebook App seemed to have vanished for a while on Wednesday, after an update, which left many users straining their eyes.

The problem was faced by both android and iPhone users. However, the issue was later resolved for the former after Facebook issued fixes for the android app.

Dark mode is a feature on Facebook that allows a user to change the app's background, from white to black, and vice versa for the text. The option is available for both Mac and PC and can be activated on any browser.

The mode helps reduce eye strain and the reduced blue light and also help users sleep better. It also leads to reduced power consumption since darker pixels on an LED screen consume less power than white ones

The option to enable such a theme has become increasingly popular in recent years and a good number of mainstream apps have a dark mode feature. However, for apps like Snapchat the feature can only be enabled on iPhone and is not yet available on Android.

If the issue is not yet solved on your iPhone here is something you could do

1.Try clearing your cache.

2.Try uninstalling the Facebook App and reinstalling it again

3.Turn your phone off and back on again

4.If the nothing works, force quit the app open your settings icon and scroll down to the app section. Over there, select the Facebook App and turn on "Upload HD video" and "Upload HD photos."
