Indian telecom operator Airtel has partnered with Perplexity to offer its Pro subscription—valued at Rs. 17,000 annually— free of cost to its entire customer base of 360 million users in India. This includes users across Airtel’s mobile, Wi-Fi, and DTH services, making it the first such Gen-AI collaboration by a telecom operator in India.
How to Avail the Benefit
All Airtel customers can redeem the one-year free subscription by logging into the Airtel Thanks App. The offer is open to all current users—across prepaid, postpaid, broadband, and DTH services—and provides access to the full suite of Perplexity Pro features.
- Open the Airtel Thanks App and go to the rewards section to find the Perplexity Pro offer.
- Click on Claim Now. The offer is valid till January 17, 2026 and users will need to claim this before the deadline to be able to avail the benefit.
- The offer allows access to Perplexity Pro for one year. The premium plan offers 300 pro searches daily, access to advanced AI models, file upload and analysis. It allows users to choose from advanced AI models like GPT 4.1, Gemini, Claude, and more. Users can also analyse documents in seconds and generate visuals using AI models like DALL-E and Flux.
- After reading the information and benefits, click on Proceed Now. The app will redirect you to the Perplexity website, wherein your login credentials will be asked.
- Users will be asked to download the Perplexity app, if they haven’t already. Once you download and login using the same credentials as on the website, the Perplexity Pro subscription should have been enabled. Click on your profile icon in the Perplexity app to check if the subscription is live or not.
