Adelaide University, a new educational institution in Australia, is set to officially launch in India on August 22, 2024. The event, which will take place in New Delhi, will offers a blend of the legacies and robust strengths of its founding universities—the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide.
Admissions set to begin in 2026, Adelaide University aims to provide a transformative learning experience for Indian students. The institute will offer a wide range of postgraduate and undergraduate programs across various in-demand disciplines.
Professors Peter Høj AC and David Lloyd, co-Vice Chancellors of Adelaide University, emphasised the institution’s commitment to educational excellence and equity. "Adelaide University stands for progress and will be a place for educational excellence and equity. It will produce next-generation graduates and future-making research of scale and focus that addresses complex global challenges," they stated.
Indian students will also become part of a alumni network, joining over 400,000 graduates from the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia.
As a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight (Go8), Adelaide University is poised to prepare students to excel in the global workforce. The university is also planning strategic partnerships with over 25 Indian higher education institutions, focusing on areas such as engineering, computer science, medicine, health, and agriculture.
