Team India skipper Rohit Sharma and fellow teammate Shubman Gill were seen sharing a lighthearted moment at the dugout during the ongoing warm-up fixture against the Prime Minister XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. In a video surfaced on social media, the captain was seen playfully hitting Gill and sharing a laugh.
Rohit returned to the scheme of things as the 37-year-old donned the captain's hat after missing the Perth Test against Australia. The 37-year-old missed the opening Test of the series due to paternity leave and chose to spend more time with the family even after his wife Ritika gave birth to a boy as they named them Ahaan.
Meanwhile, below is the video of the playful moment between Rohit and Shubman:
Rohit Sharma falls cheaply after batting at number four in Canberra
With Rohit not focussed on changing the batting order and letting KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal open the innings, the visiting captain batted at number four. However, the 37-year-old managed only three runs after surviving 11 deliveries, becoming Charlie Anderson's second victim after edging one to Oliver Davies at slip.
Anderson had earlier dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal as the left-handed batter perished for 45 off 55 deliveries, laced with nine boundaries. Earlier, Sam Konstas starred with a blazing 107 as he got to the three-figure mark off only 90 deliveries. Hanno Jacobs and Jack Clayton also chipped in with crucial contributions.
From the bowling perspective, Harshit Rana starred with four wickets.
