Lahore, April 1: Young Pakistani all-rounder Maaz Sadaqat on Wednesday stole the spotlight with his power-hitting as he smashed one of the fastest fifties in the history of Pakistan Super League during the Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Multan Sultans PSL 2026 clash. Maaz Sadaqat smashed the half-century in only 19 balls to equal the record for third-fastest half-century in PSL ever.
Third-Fastest Fifty
His blistering knock helped Hyderabad Kingsmen to post a massive total against Multan Sultans. His quick half-century helped him to join Luke Ronchi and Sam Billings for the record of third-fastest half-centuries in PSL.
Match Details
After winning the toss, Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne chose to bat first and the decision quickly paid off. Openers Saim Ayub and Maaz added 59 runs in just five overs helping them to set the base for a massive score.
Massive Target
Saim was dismissed for 27, however, Maaz continued with his attacking game. He scored 62 runs off just 26 balls with 5 sixes and 5 fours before getting out in the 10th over.
Even after a few quick wickets, Kingsmen kept the momentum going and managed to score a target of 225/5 in their first 20 overs. Sharjeel Khan also scored a quick fifty in just 26 balls in the middle-order.
Sultans Bowlers Struggle
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Wasim Jr was the most effective bowler with two wickets each. Mohammad Nawa, Peter Siddle and captain Ashton Turner picked up one wicket each but could not stop the flow of runs.
