Harshit Rana who is making his ODI debut for India was smashed for 26 runs by England's opening batsman Phil Salt. Harshit Rana was bowling his 3rd over in the powerplay, when Salt launched a barrage of shots against the bowler.

England have started the match with an intent to demolish the Indian Bowling line-up. England are looking in a comfortable position in the powerplay. Both the English openers are hammering the Indian bowling line-up. If this is the pace that the English batsmen are picking, then England can produce a massive score against India.

Harshit Rana opened the bowling alongside the veteran Mohammed Shami. In the first ball of the third over, Salt walked across his stumps and hit Rana for a six. The next ball Salt stood tall and got his hands through the line of the ball and hit it on the rise through the fence for a four. The third ball was dispatched into the stands by Phil Salt. Salt got down the track and got a top edge, but it sailed over for a six.

On the fourth ball, Salt smashed the ball through the mid wicket for a four. The fifth bowled by Harshit Rana was blocked out by Phil Salt. The last ball of the over was hit for a six by Phil Salt. Salt stood tall and nailed the pull over the deep mid wicket for a sensational six. That brought up the fifty partnership between Ben Duckett and Phil Salt. But, unfortunately for Harshit Rana it was a disaster over.
