Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal thanked fellow country Aamir Jamal for backing Mohammad Rizwan following Brad Hogg's viral video.

Brad Hogg just a couple of days back mocked Mohammad Rizwan for his broken english the video of which went viral on social media, sparking widespread furore online. However, the Pakistan cricketer mistakenly tagged former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh in his post.

Taking to X (former Twitter) he wrote, "Good to see Yuvraj Singh & Aamir jamal 'S support for Muhammad Rizwan. Heartening to see cricketers supporting each other! Wish I had received the same support in the past. Instead of memes, their backing would've shut down critics from others. Thanks for setting a positive example!"

In the video going viral on social media, Hogg can be seen conducting a mock interview with a content creator impersonating Rizwan. The imitation focused on Rizwan’s unique way of speaking and his English proficiency, drawing both laughter and criticism from fans.

Jamal said that Hogg requires attention and more followers, so he is resorting to making fun of Rizwan.

Taking to social media he wrote “I just watched a video which is circulating on Twitter and other social media It is a very shameful act from @Brad_Hogg who called himself an international cricketer making fun of a @iMRizwanPak," Jamal tweeted on Tuesday evening.

Whats next for Mohammad Rizwan?

Rizwan is currently in New Zealand, where he will be leading the team in the three-match ODI series. During the Champions Trophy event last month, New Zealand comfortably beat Pakistan on their own turf.
