Pakistan all-rounder Aamir Jamal has slammed ex-Australian spinner Brad Hogg for making fun of Mohammad Rizwan's broken English through a video that has been going viral on social media platforms. Jamal called the act shameful from Hogg and suggested that he should become a TikToker, given he needs quite a bit of attention.
In the video that has been circulating on social media, Hogg could be seen conducting an interview of the content creator, who is impersonating as Rizwan. With the Pakistan ODI captain known to struggle with his English during post-match presentations and press conferences, the video has drawn mixed reactions.
Taking to X, Jamal wrote:
"I just watch a video which is circulating on twitter and others social media It is very shameful act from @Brad_Hogg who called him self a international cricketer making fun of a @iMRizwanPak about his English which is his 3rd language not even 2nd I would rather suggest you to become #TikToker because you might need followers and attention by making fun of other people that's the platform for you not cricket community."
Aamir Jamal was recently heavily fined by PCB
Meanwhile, the seam-bowling all-rounder was recently fined by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), charging him with $1.4 dollars for writing the number '804' on his Test cap. It is believed that the number 804 is the badge number of Imran Khan, who is currently behind the bars. The PCB's Code of Conduct says the below, as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo:
"Public criticism of, or inappropriate comment in relation to the Board, any of its officials or sponsors or policies, the ICC or any of its officers or sponsors, Player, Player Support Personnel or Match Officials including umpires and match referees, irrespective of when such criticism or inappropriate comment is made."
The guideline also says that players cannot comment on any sensitive matter that might fall under sensitive, communal, racial, sectarian, political matter. Jamal was one of the handful of players fined for breaking rules or guidelines during the home series against England and the tours of Australia and South Africa.
