Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis shocked fans with a quick and powerful knockout win over Tallison Teixeira at UFC Nashville on Sunday. The fight lasted only 35 seconds, as Lewis dropped Teixeira with a strong punch and finished him off with hammer fists, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

Teixeira, who came in with an unbeaten record, had no chance to recover. Some fans questioned whether the referee stopped the fight too early. But most people, including commentators, agreed the stoppage was fair.

As always, Lewis entertained the crowd with his funny post-fight celebration. He took off his shorts and walked around the Octagon in his underwear, even jokingly flashing the crowd, which made fans cheer loudly.

This was another big win for the 40-year-old Lewis, who had also knocked out Rodrigo Nascimento. Many now believe Lewis could be close to fighting for the UFC heavyweight title, especially since the division is wide open after Jon Jones left and Tom Aspinall became champion.
