India won the 4th T20I against England by 15 runs, securing the series with a 3-1 lead. The standout performer of the match was Harshit Rana, who made his T20I debut under unexpected circumstances.

He came in as a concussion substitute for Shivam Dube, who was hit on the helmet while batting in the final over of India’s innings. Despite the sudden opportunity, Rana made the most of it, delivering impressive figures of 3/33 and playing a key role in India's victory.

BCCI shared a video on social media where Harshit Rana reflected on his dream debut. In the video, he expressed his emotions about the unexpected chance and his performance:

"Ek din mujhe match jeetana hai India ke liye, accha lag raha hai ki ekdum se aaya game ke beech main aur contribute kiya."
(One day, I wanted to win a match for India, and it feels great that I got a sudden chance in the middle of the game and was able to contribute.)

"Ha thoda ajeeb debut tha par koi problem nahi hai us cheez ki itni mehnat ki hai ki kabhi bhi mauka mile toh country ke liye deliver karu. Mai kabhi wait nahi kar raha."
(Yes, it was a bit of an unusual debut, but I have no problem with it. I have worked so hard that whenever I get a chance, I am ready to deliver for my country. I am never waiting.)

"Isse accha koi moment nahi ho sakta apni country ki jersey pehenu aur country ke liye khelu. Bahut memorable rahega, debut wicket is always memorable."
(There can be no better moment than wearing my country's jersey and playing for India. It will always be memorable—your debut wicket is always special.)

Harshit Rana's performance ensured India's win and series victory. Earlier in November last year, he had also made his Test debut in Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he left a strong impact. With this victory, India will now shift their focus to the fifth and final T20I, set to be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
