Lavanya Patil netted four goals as Carmel of St. Joseph (Orlem) blanked Jankidevi Public School Andheri 6-0 in the Girls Under-16 Division II match of the Dream Sports MSSA Inter School Football Tournament held at Wings Sports Centre Bandra (West) on Wednesday. Lavanya scored the first four goals to put Carmel of St. Joseph in the drivers seat. She scored as early as in the second minute and doubled it four minutes later. Lavanya completed her hat-trick in the 17th minute and scored another goal four minutes later. Natty Dsouza and Harshita Keni scored the fifth and sixth goal.
Sarah Dsouza scored a brace in another match as Gopal Sharma Int. Powai steamrolled Gokuldham School (Goregaon) 4-0. Prity Roy and Priya Patel scored the third and fourth goals for the Powai school.
Dhirubhai Ambani Int. (BKC) registered an impressive 2-0 win over St. Joseph sec. (Orlem). Eamika Khanna and Eva Gupta were on target to give Dhirubhai Ambani school a good win.
In other matches, Shishuvan School (Matunga) defeated Billabong Int. (Mulund) 1-0 as Liesha Shewale scored the decisive goal. Shindewadi Mumbai Public School (Dadar) defeated The Somaiya Vidyavihar 1-0 courtesy Avani Jadhav's strike. J. B.Petit (Fort) also defeated Ryan Int. CBSE, Kandivli 1-0. Ananya Oak scored the winner.
