The Multan Sultans, captained by Mohammad Rizwan, are facing criticism for their promotional video ahead of the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) season. The franchise used an audio clip from India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, in their video, which has sparked a wave of backlash from cricket fans. This video comes after the video of former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg disparaging Pakistani batsman Mohammad Rizwan's English upset social media.
In the video, the Sultans’ mascot, Saeen, is seen sitting next to the PSL 2025 trophy, while an audio clip from Rohit’s press conference after India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory is played. In the clip, Rohit humorously says, "Aap mujhe pucho kitna wo lagta hai ye jitne ke liye," (Ask me how much it takes to win the title), a comment originally made in the context of India’s triumph.
This usage of Rohit’s voice in a PSL promo has not been well received by fans, who quickly voiced their displeasure on social media.
