Jasprit Bumrah is all set to play his first game of IPL 2025 when Mumbai Indians face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Wankhede on Monday, April 7. The preparations are in full swing and ahead of the match MI shared a video showing Bumrah delivering a trademark toe-crushing yorker to a teammate, and it quickly went viral, with the post humorously captioned “Goodnight Paltan.”
Bumrah rejoined the Mumbai Indians camp having recovered from injury following the Sydney Test against Australia. Mumbai's head coach Mahela Jayawardene expressed his optimism about Bumrah’s return, believing his presence will bring a significant boost to the team.

Speaking about Bumrah at the pre-match press conference Jayawardene said, " After being sidelined since the Sydney Test, this match against RCB will mark his return to competitive action after over three months.Coach Jayawardene is thrilled to have Bumrah back, acknowledging the invaluable experience he brings. Bumrah has been away for a while, so we have to give him time and not expect too much right away. But knowing Jasprit, he’ll be ready to give his best,”
The coach also highlighted the added value Bumrah brings in mentoring younger bowlers. He added, “His advice on the field, talking to the bowlers and sharing his experience, will be crucial for us.”

Mumbai Indians have had a challenging start to the season, winning only one of their first four matches, with their lone victory coming against Kolkata Knight Riders.
