England spinner Liam Dawson hardly took time to make an impact on his return to the Test side after eight years as he dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal. It was only in his second over on day one of the fourth Test at the Old Trafford in Manchester, sending Yashasvi Jaiswal packing for a crucial breakthrough.

The dismissal occurred in the 41st over of the innings as Ben Stokes brought in Dawson for a second consecutive over. With Dawson getting the drift, Jaiswal came in forward to defend but the ball merely took an edge and Harry Brook snaffled a simple catch at first slip.

"He's got all that experience to fall back on" - Ben Stokes on Liam Dawson
In the presser on Tuesday, England captain Ben Stokes hailed Dawson's work ethic in the domestic circuit and making his way back into the side. Stokes said, as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo:
"He's been performing really well for Hampshire for a while now, and I think with getting recalled into the white ball team as well, he showed that he can come back in and get to work straight away. I think someone with as much experience as Liam has, it makes coming back easier. He's got all that experience to fall back on - he's a very good cricketer and I'm excited for him this week."
At the time of writing this, England captain Ben Stokes had nipped out his opposite number Shubman Gill for 12 in a massive moment in the innings.
