Despite the ceasefire agreement on Saturday, May 10, Pakistan allegedly violated the truce by launching an attack. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that within hours of the ceasefire agreement Pakistan repeatedly violated truce by engaging in military action. In a press briefing, he said that the Indian Army is retaliating to the border intrusion.

Shikhar Dhawan condemned Pakistan's actions. Taking to social media platform X, Shikhar Dhawan expressed his outrage in no uncertain terms. “Ghatiya desh ne fir apna ghatiyapan poori duniya ke aage dikha diya (The filthy nation has once again shown its filthiness to the whole world),” he posted, calling out Pakistan for once again showing its "true colours."

Virender Sehwag, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Rahul Tewatia also criticised Pakistan’s duplicity, with Sehwag sharing a stinging Hindi proverb that likened Pakistan’s actions to something inherently incorrigible.

Following the tension between India and Pakistan the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended IPL 2025 for a week after a security scare during the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match. The tournament was originally scheduled to end on May 25.

Pakistan Denies Ceasefire Breach Hours

Hours after violating a ceasefire deal with India, Pakistan Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar has denied that his country did not commit any ceasefire violations as India issued a stern warning saying that their armed forces will retaliate to any instances of repetition of the firing along the International Border as well as the Line of Control (LoC).

"Pakistan cannot do any ceasefire violation nor has it thought about this. It is a moment of celebration and people are rejoicing since it is a victory for us," The Dawn quoted Tarar as speaking during an interview with Geo News.

Tarar said once the ceasefire was done, there was no question of Pakistan violating it. He said, "Sanity should prevail instead of such baseless accusations".As of now, there is no violation from Pakistan."
