Vince McMahon, the longtime face of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), is once again in the spotlight this time for a traffic incident in Connecticut. According to TMZ, McMahon was involved in a multi-vehicle crash last Thursday that resulted in a reckless driving charge, though no injuries were reported. Vince McMahon is expected to appear in court in August 2025 for charges related to reckless driving.

Vince McMahon invovled in a car accident
The incident occurred on the same day McMahon paid tribute to late WWE legend Hulk Hogan, who passed away at the age of 71. Calling Hogan “the greatest WWE Superstar of all time,” McMahon remembered him as a trailblazer and global icon.
As per the report, the accident occurred when McMahon’s 2024 Bentley, travelling northbound, reportedly rear-ended a BMW and then slammed into a wooden-beam guardrail on the median. The impact scattered debris across the road, damaging a third vehicle on the opposite side.
Police later cited McMahon with a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely, both contributing factors to the crash. He is expected to appear in court later next month.
Vince McMahon's past controversy
This incident adds to McMahon’s growing list of legal troubles. McMahon stepped down from his role at the helm of the wrestling franchise in 2022 amid lawsuits over sexual abuse. Earlier this year, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosed that McMahon had paid a combined $10.5 million in hush money to two women in separate settlement agreements, allegedly to suppress potential legal claims and damaging disclosures about his conduct.
The first agreement, dated 2019, involved a $3 million payout to a former employee over a personal relationship. The second, signed in 2022, included a $7.5 million payment to a former WWE contractor to prevent allegations from going public. According to the SEC, McMahon concealed both settlements from WWE’s board and internal accounting teams, leading to financial misstatements in the company’s 2018 and 2021 reports.
