England’s star footballer Raheem Sterling has reportedly passed his medical ahead of his £47.5m transfer from Manchester City to Chelseaand is expedited to join the Blues squad in preseason training on Tuesday.
According to news doing the rounds on social media, it’s only a matter of time before Chelsea make an official announcement.
Sterling, 27, has reportedly signed a five year contract (till 2027) with the option of a further year.
After Sterling, Chelsea are planning to signings Leeds star Raphinha and French footballer Ousmane Dembele, who is also on Barcelona’s radar, ahead of the new English Premier League season.
Sterling joined English champions Manchester City for 49m pounds in 2015 from Liverpool and has won four EPL titles among nine major trophies in his time there.
A key player in the early years of Pep Guardiola's reign at City, Sterling has scored 131 goals in 337 appearances for the English champions.
