Adelaide Strikers opener Chris Lynn has been voted as the cricketer with 'Best Hair' in Big Bash League (BBL) for second consecutive year. Chris Lynn won the award after the BBL player survey. Brisbane Heat's Spencer Johnson came second followed by Adam Zampa of Melbourne Renegades, Ashton Agar of Perth Scorchers and Jack Edwards Sydney Sixers in the BBL 2024-25 player survey for "Best Hair". '

Scorchers register comfortable win over Strikers

Perth Scorchers defeated Adelaide Strikers by 7 wickets in match 17 of the BBL 2024-25 season at the Adelaide Oval. Fast bowlers Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff bowled well to limit the Strikers to a moderate total.

The Scorchers’ bowlers dominated early, with Lance Morris and Behrendorff taking three quick wickets inside the first six overs. Morris dismissed Ollie Pope for just one run, while Behrendorff removed Chris Lynn and Jake Weatherald, leaving the Strikers at a tough 30-3. Andrew Tye then dismissed D’Arcy Short, and Richardson picked up three wickets, including that of captain Alex Ross, finishing with 3-29 in his four overs.

By the halfway mark, the Strikers were struggling at 58-8. However, Brendon Doggett and Cameron Boyce staged an incredible recovery, adding 84 runs for the ninth wicket. Doggett top-scored with 47* off 39 balls, while Boyce made 29* off 22 balls, helping the Strikers finish with a total of 142-8.

During Perth's chase, fast bowler Henry Thornton made an early impact, taking two wickets in his first over, leaving the Scorchers at 5-2. But Finn Allen played a brilliant knock, scoring 50 runs off just 23 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes. He was dismissed at 89-3.

Cooper Connolly (48* off 35 balls) and captain Ashton Turner (35 off 18 balls) then completed the chase easily, guiding Perth to a seven-wicket victory in just 14.3 overs.
