In a shocking revelation, it has come to light that an Indian cricket star recently carried an astonishing 27 bags on the team's tour of Australia. What's even more astonishing is that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was left footing the bill for the player's excess luggage, which weighed a staggering 250kg.
According to reports, the player, whose identity has not been disclosed, had packed an enormous amount of luggage for the tour, including multiple suitcases, bags, and other personal items. The sheer volume of luggage was so massive that it required special arrangements to be made for its transportation.
While the BCCI has not officially commented on the matter, sources close to the board have confirmed that the player's excess luggage was indeed paid for by the board. The cost of transporting the luggage is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of rupees.
The incident prompted the BCCI to reevaluate its policies, leading to a new rule that limits each player's luggage to 150 kg, encompassing both personal and cricket gear. Any excess luggage will now be at the player's own expense, marking a significant change in the board's approach to player luggage.
