RCB & PBKS date with history

While RCB will be playing in their fourth IPL final, it's a big return for Punjab Kings, who are making their first appearance in the final since 2014.

Leading the charge for PBKS is captain Shreyas Iyer, who has been in top form this season, scoring 603 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 175.80 and an average of 54.82, with six half-centuries.

Punjab Kings finished the league stage on top with 19 points. Though they lost Qualifier 1 to RCB, they bounced back strongly by defeating Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2, earning a rematch with Bengaluru in the final.

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer is chasing history. If he wins tonight, he has the chance to write history by becoming the first captain to win IPL titles with two different teams. He previously won with Kolkata Knight Riders last year.
