England : On 28th May 2015 India played first T20 match against England as part of the ongoing Bi-lateral series cricket for the blind.

The match started at 5.30 pm – local time. India continued their winning spree in a closely contested match over England playing at the historical Oval cricket ground in England.

The English won the toss and elected to bat. Though the first wicket fell very early at 17 runs within the first three overs the English Batsman kept up the pace of scoring runs at a good pace.

The Indian bowlers and fielders ensured the run rate was in manageable limit. Luke Sug’s 62 runs and Nathen Foy’s (B1) 56 runs helped England to set up a competitive target.

New international player Sonu Golkar and experienced cricketer Venkatesh Dunna were star performers demonstrating good bowling skills being responsible for important dismissals.

The score board for English stopped soaring at 213 at a loss of 5 wickets at the end of the stipulated 20 overs.

 India chasing a score of 214 with an asking run rate of 10.7 runs per over the first wicket fell very early. In spite of that the Indians demonstrated exceptionally good batting skills and scored some fast runs between the wickets and some great boundary shots.

Venkatesh hit a six on the first ball giving the innings an exciting start. 22 precious runs were scored in the first over itself.

Though the first wicket Venkatesh (15 runs) fell early and players like Ketan, Jafar, Shekar could not hold the ground for long it was Prakash’s scintillating 77 that ensured the team’s position on the victory podium.

Ajay Reddy and Sonu Golkar remained not out at the end of 18.5 overs ensuring India’s victory in T20 format as well. India won by 4 wickets and 1.1overs.Prakash was adjudged man of the match for the day’s match.
