Actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, who was also the cousin of Jr NTR, passed away on February 18, leaving his family grief-stricken.
The actor is survived by his wife Alekhya Reddy and three kids -- two daughters and a son.
Soon after Taraka Ratna's demise, his wife reportedly fell sick, unable to bear the loss of her life partner.
Taraka Ratna's wife falls sick
According to several media reports, Alekhya had been starving herself for the past two days and was looking after the couple's three children, while also being next to her husband at the hospital.
However, the actor's demise after a long battle at the hospital, has left her shocked and she has fallen ill herself while trying to come to terms with the tragedy.
Taraka Ratna and Alekhya had reportedly tied the knot in 2012 against the wish of the former's parents. They had gotten married at a temple and none of the actor's family members had attended the wedding. However, they had later accepted the marriage.
Taraka Ratna's relatives, including Jr NTR, were also seen visibly shaken post the actor's demise.
Taraka Ratna's death
Taraka Ratna passed away on February 18 at the age of 39 at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was admitted on January 27 after he collapsed during a padyatra of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh in Kuppam town of Andhra Pradesh.
His mortal remains were taken to his residence in Rangareddy on Sunday and several politicians and celebrities were seen paying their final respects and extending their condolences to the bereaved family.
The funeral will reportedly be held on Monday in the presence of the actor's close friends and family members. The last rites will be performed at the Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills on Monday evening.
