Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Maharashtra Government's Directorate of Cultural Affairs has organised a special music and dance programme, 'Vande Mataram', to mark Independence Day on August 15. The programme will be held at Tapadia Natya Mandir, Nirala Bazar, at 6.30pm. Entry will be free, and the administration has appealed to people to participate in large numbers.
The 'Vande Mataram' programme will showcase India's glorious freedom struggle, the spirit of patriotism, unity in diversity, and the richness of Indian culture through patriotic songs, music, and dance performances. Audiences will get to experience a vibrant blend of music and dance during the event.
Singers Rahul Jethe, Mangesh Suradkar, Priya Pawar and Amol Jethe will perform patriotic songs, while The Blaze Dance Group will present a patriotic dance performance. Their performances are expected to further strengthen the spirit of patriotism, valour and Indian identity.
The programme has been conceptualised by Adv Ashish Shelar, Minister for Cultural Affairs, Electronics, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Development, under the guidance of Dr Kiran Kulkarni, Secretary, Department of Cultural Affairs. The Directorate of Cultural Affairs has been working consistently to preserve and promote Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage while fostering patriotism through various cultural initiatives.
Shriram Pande, Director of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, has appealed to citizens, students, youth, culture enthusiasts and residents of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and nearby areas to attend the patriotic cultural programme in large numbers.
