Pune: Pawar Parth, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and son of Maharashtra Deputy CM Sunetra  Pawar, has strongly defended senior party figures amid ongoing criticism against them across the state.

He defended senior NCP leaders Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare, openly calling recent reports against them “pure fiction".

His statement comes at a time when political circles have been abuzz with speculation involving senior leaders.

Pawar came out in support of Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare, dismissing the allegations against them as baseless and politically motivated. He shared his response through a post on X (formerly Twitter).

In his message, Pawar said the narratives targeting Patel and Tatkare were completely imaginary and had no connection with reality. He stressed that both leaders have made significant contributions to the party over several decades and continue to guide party workers with their experience.

He also expressed concern over what he described as attempts to drag senior leaders into controversies for political reasons. According to Parth Pawar, such actions are driven by animosity and are aimed at pushing a particular agenda.

‘Efforts To Damage Repo Won’t Succeed’

“Their decades of unwavering commitment and leadership continue to guide us all,” Pawar said in his post. He added that targeting such leaders through false narratives is unfortunate and should be publicly condemned.

Pawar further stated that efforts to damage the reputation of senior leaders will not succeed. His strong reaction has sparked fresh discussion in political circles and highlighted unity within the party.

The remarks come amid rising political tensions, with leaders increasingly using social media to respond to allegations and shape public perception. Pawar,
