In a shocking murder in Pune, a man killed his wife by stabbing her with scissors multiple times in Kharadi. The accused has been identified as 37-year-old Shivdas Tukaram Gite, while the deceased is his wife, 28-year-old Jyoti Shivdas Gite.
After hearing the woman's cries for help, neighbors rushed to the house and saw her lying in a pool of blood. The neighbors immediately called the Chandannagar Police Station, and the cops rushed to the scene.
The woman was taken to Sassoon Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
The incident occurred around 4:30 am in Tuljabhavani Nagar, Kharadi.
Gite brutally killed his wife in front of their child and later shot a video, which he reportedly shared on a work WhatsApp group. He works as a stenographer in the Pune Court. Even the child can be heard crying in the video.

Son is in shock
According to the police, the couple had been fighting for the past few months. On Wednesday, during an argument, Gite killed his wife in a fit of rage. Their son, who witnessed the violent crime, is in severe shock.
After killing his wife, Shivdas filmed the incident and sent it to his office WhatsApp group. In the video, Shivdas can be heard saying, "I had to do this for my own protection. My wife had tried to kill me and my family. I did not want to take her life."
The police have obtained the video as an evidence. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that the accused was arrested on the spot. Police said stenographer Shivdas Tukaram Gitte was from Rudrapur in Beed district. A magisterial court ordered Gitte's custodial remand till Jan 25.
Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan (Chandan Nagar Police Station) said, "There are many angles leading to multiple disputes between Gitte and his wife. The accused is a native of Beed and joined as a stenographer in the Pune Civil Court in 2021. After three years, he was terminated by the session court for not qualifying the stenographer exam. However, Gitte approached the Bombay High Court and got an extension of 6 months to qualify for the exam. His wife, Jyoti (28), was insisting that he study hard so he could qualify for the exam and not lose his job.
"Moreover, Jyoti was insisting on collecting money, which could be used for other domestic works. They resided in a rented room. Jyoti had a sewing machine and was earning a small amount from it," he added.
