Hinjawadi: A small argument between two acquaintances resulted in a young IT engineer being hit on the head with a beer bottle in Pune's Hinjawadi. A man from Nepal has been arrested while attempting to flee from the Mumbai area. The incident happened on Saturday.

Abhinav Pathak (age 27, resident of Hinjawadi) lodged a complaint at the Hinjawadi Police Station. A case has been registered against Milan Sahu (age 30, resident of Hinjawadi and native of Nepal).

According to the police, the complainant Pathak works as an IT engineer in a Hinjawadi company. Accused Sahu and Pathak are acquainted with each other. They had a fight on Saturday afternoon over vague reasons, but it took a grave turn later that night. 

Sahu went to Pandav Nagar in Hinjawadi, where the complainant was chatting with other friends. The complainant and the accused resumed their previous argument, and things escalated as the other friends tried to mediate. 

Sahu got angry and smashed a beer bottle on Pathak's head. Pathak sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.

Hinjawadi Police arrested Sahu while he was attempting to flee back to his native place in Nepal, apprehending him in the Kalyan area near Mumbai. 

Senior Police Inspector Balaji Pandhare told The Free Press Journal, “The accused was arrested in Kalyan on Sunday. He was produced in court, and the court has given him four days of police custody. We are investigating the matter further.”
