In a significant step towards strengthening school leadership, 11 Master Trainers (MTs) and three supervisors from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) participated in a four-day national training workshop organised by CreatNet Education in collaboration with The Akanksha Foundation.

Held at Eklavya, an NGO based in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh, the workshop brought together 40 participants from across the country, including representatives from Sanjhi Sikhiya (Punjab), Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Delhi and PCMC.

Facilitated by senior and retired headmasters from Delhi Government schools, the training focused on developing facilitation skills, fostering peer learning and promoting sustained collaboration. The MTs from PCMC—already leading monthly cluster meetings for headmasters (HMs)—deepened their learning through hands-on practice, reflective sessions and peer feedback.

“PCMC's Master Trainers are not only supporting our HMs but are also leading by example in their own continuous professional development. Their commitment to learning, collaboration, and innovation is what will drive meaningful change in our schools,” said PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh.

The MTs also shared their experiences from Pimpri-Chinchwad, including discussions on impactful books such as 'Totto-Chan' and 'Divaswapna', as well as their insights from school visits and exposure to best practices.

It was particularly inspiring to witness experienced school leaders become students once again—receiving and offering honest feedback, engaging in detailed planning, and working together to enhance their facilitation skills. They returned with renewed motivation, practical strategies to implement in their schools, and a commitment to educational leadership that extends beyond retirement.
