Probable Delhi CM Candidates
With BJP returning to power in Delhi after 27 years, the mix of first-time and experienced MLAs presents a broad field of contenders for the top post.
The key contenders for Delhi’s Chief Ministerial post include Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, who secured a victory over former CM Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency, senior BJP leader Vijendra Gupta from Rohini, and Harish Khurana, son of former Delhi CM Madan Lal Khurana, who emerged victorious in Moti Nagar.
Meanwhile, as per the latest developments, BJP leader Rekha Gupta has also emerged as a strong frontrunner for the CM position.
Delhi's next CM is set to take the oath on Thursday, February 20 at a gala event. Approximately 50,000 attendees, including PM Modi, his cabinet ministers, and the chief ministers of NDA-ruled states, are expected to be present at the grand swearing-in ceremony.
The BJP secured a decisive victory, winning 48 out of 70 seats in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.
