In a commendable social welfare initiative, the WE Club of Vashi, a part of the Association of WE Clubs of India, collaborated with the Koparkhairane Sector 14 Residents Welfare Association (RWA) and the Senior Citizen Trust to support underprivileged women.

At a special program held at Virangula Kendra, Koparkhairane, on March 18, two sewing machines were donated to single mothers working as domestic helpers, each raising three school-going children. "The initiative aims to provide these women with a stable means of earning and pave the way for financial independence. Additionally, the club has assured continued business support and guidance to help them expand their income opportunities," said a spokesperson for the club.

The event was graced by Sarita Balhera, President of the WE Club of Vashi, along with club members. Former Corporator Adv. Mrs. Bharati Ravikant Patil attended as the Chief Guest and handed over the sewing machines to the beneficiaries.

The representatives of the RWA and Virangula Kendra, including M/s J.S. Bhela, Rakesh Gupta, and Avinash Vasudevan, along with other committee members, played a crucial role in facilitating the event.

"The RWA of Koparkhairane Sector 14 continues to be actively involved in enhancing the quality of life for residents through various social service initiatives, further strengthening the community spirit in the area," said an official.
