MP Suresh Mhatre, alias Balya Mama, from the NCP-led Sharadchandra Pawar faction, had his Instagram account hacked by an unknown individual.
A complaint was filed by Vipul Mhatre, stating that MP Suresh Mhatre's Instagram and email accounts were hacked, and his mobile number and email address were changed without authorization.
According to the police, the incident took place in Gundavli village, Bhiwandi, between September 9, 2024, and February 8, 2025.
A case has been registered against the unidentified hacker under Sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act.
Pramod Kumbhar, Police Inspector at Narpoli police station, said, "We have lodged an FIR against the unknown person and are taking the help of the Thane Cyber Cell to trace the individual. Further investigation is ongoing."
