Thane: 47-year-old man found dead inside his room near Ghodbunder Road

Thane: A 47-year-old man staying in Greenwood Society at Ghodbunder Road in Thane (West) was found dead inside the room on Wednesday, July 6. The man was staying alone at home and he was from Kerala and addicted to alcohol said police officials.

Avinash Sawant, Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) chief said, "At around 8:48pm on Wednesday, July 6 we received a complaint in the disaster management room that near A.P Shah College, Anandnagar in Ghodbunder Road at Thane (West) the door of room no. 403 in Greenwood Society is locked and one person is trapped inside. Soon after receiving the complaint we informed it to Kasarwadwali police station and Fire Brigade personnel. Both Kasarwadawali police personnel and fire brigade personnel reached the spot along with one rescue vehicle and one ambulance."

Sawant further added, "When the fire brigade personnel opened the door they found dead body of Satish Kumar Krishna Pillay (47). The fire brigade personnel handed the body of Satish Pillay to the Kasarwadwali police station and from there his body was sent to the district government hospital at Thane for autopsy. "

Mahesh Masurkar, Investigation Officer of Kasarwadwali police station said, " The deceased Satish Pillay (47) was from Kerala and he was staying alone at Greenwood Society in Ghodbunder Road at Thane. We are investigating the case but we don't think there is any foul play. Pillay was addicted to alcohol. We have registered accidental death report (ADR) in the case. "
