The accused has been attached to the school from past 17 years
Mumbai : Kandivali police arrested an accused regarding the molestation case occurred in a high profile school in Kandivali, with a 5-year-old girl. The arrested accused has been identified as a 39-year-old Santosh Breet, who is attached to the school from past 17 years.
According to the police, the accused is a store keeper in the school. Police found him suspicious during questioning.
The moment police lengthen their interrogation, Santosh confessed his crime. Later the victim was told to identify the accused, after which Santosh was arrested.
The accused has been charged under section 354 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and section 4 and 8 POCSO.
According to the police, the accused is a resident of Poisar in Kandivali and was a clerk in the school. Yesterday, Santosh was produced in the Dindoshi court, from where he was sent to police custody till Monday.
According to the police, Santosh was called as ‘Uncle’ by all the school students.
The incident took place on August 4, when the victim had gone to the toilet and noticed the accused touching another girl inappropriately.
As soon as the so called ‘Uncle’ noticed he was being watched, he came near the 5-year-old who was witness to his heinous actions and held her hand and molested her. According to the police, the mother of the victim, on Monday, noticed that her daughter was not behaving as per her routine. On further inquiring with her daughter, the victim revealed that she was molested in the school toilet by a man, who threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed this matter to anyone.
On hearing their daughter’s ordeal, parents immediately approached the Kandivali police on Tuesday and filed a complaint, after which the police had summoned the staff members of the school, where Santosh failed to get away from the claws of the police.
