On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the State Bank of India, the NMMC headquarters branch of the bank donated 200 books to the library of Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial in Airoli.
On this occasion, Dadasaheb Chabukaswar, DMC of Social Service Development of NMMC, Sandhya Ambade, the facilities controller of the Ambedkar Memorial and the Regional Manager of the bank Kapil Garg and branch manager Shamli Aras and other officials were present.
“NMMC’s Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial is known as one of the best monuments in the country with a rich library here with e-library facilities. Another 200 books will add to the richness of the library,” said a senior civic official.
Similarly, 240 native species of trees were planted in the Rock Garden at Sector 21 Nerul on behalf of the Bank. A few of the trees planted include Bakul, Anant, Neem, and Karanj.
