Mumbai: The former leader of opposition in the Assembly Congress legislator, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil took an appointment for meeting Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s right hand minister, Girish Mahajan. This meeting has created a lot of talk in political circles.
“I am leaving, but I will not leave the party without informing anyone,” said Vikhe Patil. He further said, “I had gone to thank the minister, Girish Mahajan, after my son, Dr Sujay won the Lok Sabha elections,” said Vikhe Patil. There has been speculation of Vikhe Patil too joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, after his son who was denied ticket by Congress and Nationalist Congress Party alliance.
He said, he will meet the workers and only then announce. “You will know who all are coming along with me,” said Vikhe Patil. Mahajan also clarified, Vikhe Patil to gone to offer him best wishes and thank him for his son’s victory. He further said, Vikhe Patil himself has told he will be joining the BJP.
“CM will take the final decision of giving him a berth in the cabinet,” said Mahajan. Vikhe Patil is expected to join the BJP along four Legislators, many Ahmednagar district party post holder and workers in the first week of June. Legislators form Marathwada, Western Maharashtra and Mumbai are expected to follow him. Kalidas Kolambkar, Abdul Sattar and Jaykumar Gore, along with two more who are expected.
