Navi Mumbai: World Cultural Development Foundation Secures Land In Panvel For ₹100 Crore Spiritual and Cultural Centre

The centre is envisioned to bring about awareness amongst the younger generations about the community heritage and culture. The centre is considered as an initiative towards building nation through cultural integration.

The world cultural development foundation- a socio cultural platform of Navi Mumbai has procured one-acre land in Panvel. The acquisition of the land is in continuation to the community’s plans to construct an international spiritual and cultural centre (ISCC). 

The centre is envisioned to bring about awareness amongst the younger generations about the community heritage and culture. The centre is considered as an initiative towards building nation through cultural integration. 

" This has been a long cherished desire of the community to have a community center. Recently we have purchased 1acre land from a private party and now we are in the process of acquiring 4 more acres and in all likeness the construction work should commence from February onward," said the initiator of the project and member Rashmimkant Mohapatra. ,

The others involved in the project are Dilip Ghotole , G D Behera , Shashi Hadagali.

The total cost for constructing the centre is estimated to be approximately 100 crores. 

In addition to the temple, the structure will have facilities such as meditation center, international standard conference, digital hall for films etc. The community has envisioned to procure soils from all the four dhams, all Shakti Pithas, including those in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and soil from all Jyotirlinga along the Kailash in China. 

The centre is also foreseen as a uniting factor for communities regardless of the area or they belong to. “The centre has been named as Krishna Jagannath Govindalayam - as these are deities that hold great significance pan India. Thus the centre will serve as a juncture for all sects and beliefs of Hinduism therefore the central deities of the centre will be Krishna, lord Jagannath and Govinda a Devasthanam," said Mohapatra.
