Residents of Ulwe node have alleged that they have not received water for the past two days. According to them, water was supplied in the node last on Friday evening.

The water supply was impacted in the City and Industrial Area Development Corporation (CIDCO) administered area on Saturday evening after a pipeline was damaged at Vahal village near Gavan Phata.

According to CIDCO, its engineering department has been working on war-footing to resolve the issue on priority. The estimated time to complete the work is around 30 hours.

However, till Monday morning, the supply of water was not restored. Due to pipeline damage, water supply was impacted in Dronagiri, Ulwe, Kharghar and adjoining villages en route of the pipeline.

Meanwhile, CIDCO has requested the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) to provide an additional 50 MLD of water to meet the demand in the Kharghar node.
