The event held on April 3  was jointly held by the Department of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Government of Maharashtra; the District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre, Alibag-Raigad; Panvel Municipal Corporation; and the Taloja Industries Association.

The job fair was held at Tanish Hotel and Resort, located in the Taloja Industrial Area, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries including Sachin Jadhav, Deputy Commissioner of the Skill Development Department (Mumbai Division), Prasenjit Karlekar, Deputy Commissioner of Panvel Municipal Corporation, Satish Shetty, President of Taloja Industries Association, Amita Pawar, Assistant Commissioner of the Employment Guidance Centre, and Vinaya Mhatre, Manager of DAY-NULM, PMC.

A total of 18 reputed companies participated in the drive, offering more than 494 vacancies across various job roles. Job seekers were also provided guidance on skill training, apprenticeship registration, self-employment opportunities, and government loan schemes.

Special attention was given to spreading awareness about the Chief Minister’s Youth Internship Scheme, with several candidates registering and expressing interest in internships under the program.

Participation in the fair was facilitated through prior registration on the government portal www.mahaswayam.gov.in. Registered candidates were required to update their Aadhaar information to attend the event.

The initiative proved to be a valuable opportunity for local unemployed youth, helping them connect with industrial employers and government-supported training and employment programs. Organizers and participants alike hailed the event as a highly successful platform for bridging the gap between industry needs and job seekers’ aspirations.
