Former Sarpanch of Kharghar and Shiv Sena City President Gurunath Patil has written to the traffic department of Navi Mumbai regarding the illegal parking of school buses in sector 11 and sector 19 in Kharghar node. Patil said that these school buses may pose a hurdle for a smooth flow of traffic during emergencies.

Patil in his two letters highlighted the issue of illegal parking. He said that schools have already a big ground where they can park their buses. But they park along the road and occupied major parts of the road. Due to bus parking, there are hardly any spaces for the movement of other vehicles. In such a scenario, ambulances or fire engines cannot cross easily.

“They park their buses between 7.45 am and 9 am in the morning and between 2 pm and 2.45 pm in the afternoon at the gate of various housing societies,” said Patil. He added that many housing societies have complained regarding difficulties.
