Navi Mumbai: Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar inspected the potholes repair work after incessant rainfall for the last six days. He also directed the officials to be extra vigilant on potholes during the monsoon.

Earlier, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, while reviewing the disaster management of the Thane district, had ordered all agencies to immediately fill the potholes on the roads.

Civic chief Bangar inspected the ongoing works at various places in the city and directed to increase the number of pit repair teams and work day and night in both shifts.

As the chairman of the city disaster management cell of NMMC, during the pre-monsoon preparation meeting, Bangar had instructed all the authorities not to have potholes on the roads and to be extremely vigilant about it.

Though the number of potholes on the roads in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) area is relatively low, the corporation is vigilant to ensure that the potholes do not cause any obstruction to traffic and citizens.
