Mumbai: A disturbing video has emerged online showing a fire breaking out in Mulund, Mumbai, with thick smoke visible from a distance. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, sparking concern among residents. According to the reports, the fire broke out in the morning hours of the day.

An X user, (@abhiscuba), recently posted a video where a thick smoke is seen caused by a fire that broke out in Mulund's railway freight yard, next to Tata Colony according to the post.

The post caption reads: "Massive fire breaks out near Mulund railway freight yard, next to Tata Colony, since this morning. Thick smoke visible from a distance. Stay safe and avoid the area. #Mulund #MumbaiFire @mulund_info @RoadsOfMumbai @mumbaimatterz"

There is no response from officials to the X post.

The incident has raised fears among some social media users, who speculate that the fire may be related to the dry atmosphere and surging temperatures in Mumbai. However, there is no official confirmation on the cause of the fire.

Another X user, (@isha_dalvi), raised concerns about possibility of a greenland fire while sharing the image of the fire claiming the smoke is erupting from Mulund Nahur area.

In a separate incident, another video has gone viral showing an auto-rickshaw catching fire on N.S. Road in Mulund West, opposite Syndicate Bank.
