Mumbai Tragedy: 20-Year-Old Youth Drowns While Clicking Photos At Juhu Jetty; Declared Dead At Cooper Hospital

A 20-year-old man tragically drowned while taking photos at Juhu Jetty on Saturday evening. Despite being rescued by on-duty lifeguards, he could not be revived and was declared dead at the civic-run Cooper Hospital. The incident took place around 8 PM at Juhu Jetty in Juhu Koliwada.

Mumbai: A 20-year-old man tragically drowned while taking photos at Juhu Jetty on Saturday evening. Despite being rescued by on-duty lifeguards, he could not be revived and was declared dead at the civic-run Cooper Hospital.

The incident took place around 8 PM at Juhu Jetty in Juhu Koliwada. According to the BMC’s Disaster Management Cell, a group of friends had visited the beach and were taking pictures when one of them, Anil Arjun Rajput, reportedly slipped and fell into the sea while clicking photos of his friend.

Nearby lifeguards heard the group’s cries for help, immediately jumped into the water, and managed to pull Anil out. However, despite their swift action, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
