Mumbai: Shop Owner Foils Armed Robbery Attempt In Poinsur Jewellery Store; Police Investigation Underway

According to initial reports, three individuals attempted the robbery, with one of them brandishing a firearm to intimidate the shopkeeper. However, the quick-thinking shopkeeper's actions caused chaos, disrupting the robbery attempt.

Mumbai: An attempted armed robbery at a jewellery shop in the Poinsur area of Mumbai was thwarted due to the alertness and quick thinking of the shop owner.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening around 10 PM when three unidentified individuals entered the shop, brandishing knives, and attempted to loot it. However, the shop owner acted swiftly, using a rod kept in the store to fend off the attackers. His loud cries for help drew the attention of nearby residents, forcing the robbers to flee the scene.

Police have launched an investigation into the case and are working to identify and apprehend the suspects. Further inquiries are ongoing.
