Mumbai, April 24: A 25-year-old youth from Dombivli allegedly died by suicide at KEM Hospital premises on Friday morning. The incident came to light around 10 am, following which the Bhoiwada Police registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and initiated further investigation. The deceased is married and he has no children.
Missing from ward before incident
According to police, the deceased, a resident of Dombivli East’s Kopar area, was suffering from a serious illness and had been undergoing treatment at the hospital in Parel for the past month. On Friday morning around 9 am, KEM Hospital staff noticed that he was missing from the ward where he had been admitted.
Body found on hospital premises
A search was launched, during which the youth was found hanging in the hospital premises outside the ward. Hospital authorities immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and took custody of the body. It has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Bhoiwada Police suspect that the youth may have taken the extreme step due to distress caused by his prolonged illness. Further probe is underway. No any complaint from deceased relatives.
