Mumbai: In a horrifying incident, a 12-year-old girl was gang-raped by five men in Mumbai's Jogeshwari area. The incident came to light when the girl was found at the Dadar railway station. The crime happened on February 26 in the Sanjaynagar area.

According to the reports, one of the accused took the victim to the room where the other four accused men were already present in the room. All the accused assaulted the victim and then abandoned her near Dadar railway station.

The minor used to stay at Jogeshwari East, but due to some argument at home, she left the home and went towards the station. At the station, she met one of the known persons, and then he lured her to a room, where the other accused were already present. All five accused sexually assaulted the victim and abandoned her near the Dadar railway station. Police arrested all five accused, and two were found at the Dadar Railway Station.

On February 27, the victim was found on platform 12, and railway police noticed her in a distressed state. Minor was on the spot and handed over to the Jogeshwari police. The police registered the case under the sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) and other legal cases against sexual assault. Further investigation is underway, and police are collecting all the evidence to give justice to the victim.
