"To solve cyber crime cases, the police officers require specialized skills with specialized setup and we will continue to improve it," said Mumbai police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner of Police S Chaitanya.

Before the cyber police stations were rolled out in the field, the city had only one cyber police station at Bandra Kurla Complex to tackle with cyber crime of any and all sorts. The dedicated cyber police stations are not entrusted with any law and order-related or regular bandobast duties.
